This round-table discussion aims to explore the diverse uses and meanings of the ‘classical’ in dance worldwide.
Artists from across several continents and researchers will bring their perspectives together to explore traditions, transmission and contemporary reinterpretations.
Featuring researchers involved in the production of issue 15 of the journal *Recherches en danse*, choreographers Jaeduk Kim, Christopher Marney, Silvia Gribaudi and Paola Cantalupo, and Rosella Hightower, Artistic Director of the PNSD.
Organised as part of the 2026 Rencontres of the ACD (Association des Chercheurs en Danse), in partnership with the Centre national de la danse.
