Company and choreographer
Simonne Rizzo
Trained in classical, jazz, contemporary and tap techniques, and a graduate of the CNDC in Angers, Simonne Rizzo's encounter with hip-hop has become a determining factor in her career. A performer for François Veyrunes, Amala Dianor and Régine Chopinot, she founded her own company in 2012 and has created 6 pieces, including Miwa for young audiences and Volero, a tribute to gypsy culture.
Simonne Rizzo is committed to passing on her art, working with a range of artists and giving talks in schools, associations, old people's homes, social centres and conservatoires. Her work aims to make dance accessible to all, while celebrating cultural richness and the universality of emotions. With a protean vision, she continues to push back the boundaries of choreographic creation, willingly taking over spaces not dedicated to dance.
