Orchestre National de Cannes and Arie van Beek conductor
Under the musical direction of Benjamin Levy since 2016, the Orchestre de Cannes comprises 37 musicians. In 2022, it was awarded the label of Orchestre national en région by the French Ministry of Culture.
Arié van Beek, the Dutch conductor who was awarded the Elly Ameling prize for his contribution to the artistic development of the city of Rotterdam, is a regular guest of the Orchestre national de Cannes. His knowledge of the work of composer Louis Andriessen, who contributed to the renewal of Dutch music, makes him the ideal conductor for this programme.
