Leïla Ka
she has choreographed for Beyoncé, the Césars ceremony, Zaho de Sagazan and the National Ballet of Chile. Drawing on her urban and contemporary influences, she has made her mark on the dance scene in just a few short years.
Having entered the world of urban dance at the age of 16, she didn't go to school, becoming a dancer for Maguy Marin and then launching into choreography. Her first three pieces met with international success and were performed in over 20 countries. She won the Danse Élargie competition at the Théâtre de la Ville de Paris and was nominated for the Saddlers Well International Dance Prize in London with her fourth piece, Maldonne.
She is now associated with the Scène Nationale de Cavaillon, Dieppe and Grenoble, and is currently working on a new creation, scheduled for autumn 2026.
