The pedagogy of classical dance: a constant evolution

Gilbert Mayer, renowned Master, representative of the French school, Jean-Guillaume Bart, star, teacher at the Paris Opera Ballet and choreographer, Yannick Boquin, international freelance teacher, Joëlle Boulogne, star of the Hamburg Ballet, Professor at the PNSD Rosella Hightower, Paola Cantalupo, star of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, artistic and educational director of the PNSD Rosella Hightower, Brigitte Lefèvre, artistic director of the Festival de Danse Cannes – Côte d’Azur France.

It seems essential to continue to examine the pedagogy of classical dance, which is still in perpetual evolution today. Representing the French school all over the world, Gilbert Mayer is the leader teacher of the French style. From Baryshnikov to Nureyev, he met the greatest stars. Gilbert Mayer has been at the service of dance and has taught at the Paris Opera since 1951. He will discuss his rich career and exchange with the teaching professionals Jean-Guillaume Bart, Yannick Boquin, Joëlle Boulogne and Paola Cantalupo, who will attest to their experiences and challenges that they face each day during their transmission work.
